Third Horizon is seeking a Fall Intern to support the organization across its year-round programs, operations, and initiatives. The intern will work alongside members of the Third Horizon team across nonprofit and organizational operations, festival and screening operations, community engagement, filmmaker relations, film distribution, marketing and social media, design, research, and general administration.
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
❋ Caribbean Roots and Community
A connection to the Caribbean through family, heritage, lived experience, work, study, or diaspora engagement. An ongoing interest in Caribbean film, art, culture, and creative communities. Experience living/working in or with Caribbean communities welcomed, not required.
❋ Language
English as a working language (native fluency not required); additional Caribbean languages — Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, Dutch, creoles and patois — welcomed and valued.
❋ Skills and Collaboration
Interest in film, arts and culture, nonprofit work, community organizing, events, marketing, design, or distribution. Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Willing to communicate, collaborate, ask questions, and work within a small team. Comfortable conducting research and organizing information.
❋ Software
Familiarity with creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Canva, Premiere Pro) and social media/digital platforms helpful, not required.
